The interviewer told the "H3" Podcast the story of how she was raised by her maternal grandmother living in the slums of Manila until she reached the age of three. Kenneth Taylor, an American ex-pat and his wife Eden adopted her. Poarch claimed that she was employed on her family's farm for 10 years and did chores. Poarch launched her YouTube channel in April of 2020, just a few months after she joined TikTok. Poarch was also famous for the alpaca clothing doll Paca. Poarch released her own clothing collection called RIPNDIP x Paca Collaboration in 2020.
